Wollen Michelmore's World Cup 2018 event

Wollen Michelmore held another epic football event at the Riviera Centre on the 28th June 2018, to watch the England vs Belgium game with colleagues and work associates. The Grace Murrell suite was kitted out with 8 HD TV screens, chairs and the room was covered patriotically in red and white England flag decorations. This event has been going for the past 6 years now and is still a success to this day.

Sadly the game didn’t go as well as we would have hoped with England losing to Belgium, however the free bar and buffet helped to ease the pain. On the night we go to hear a fantastic speech from a well-known speaker. Matt Messias shared the same arena with some of the world’s most famous soccer stars as a Premier League and international football referee. He subsequently swapped a changing room for a classroom to become an education consultant and is now the principal at the Atrium School in Ashburton.

On the night our Clinical Negligence Team ran the charity raffle for SANDS, the stillbirth and neonatal death charity which supports anybody affected by the death of a baby. The raffle was a huge success and raised over £1000 on the night for from the very generous guests. SANDS does some fantastic work for families who have experienced the terrible ordeal of losing a baby.
