Wollen Michelmore went 'Over the edge'

On the 7th April, 4 of the Wollen Michelmore ladies went ‘Over the Edge’ to raise money for Rowcroft Hospice. Wollen Michelmore have supported Rowcroft for many years through sponsorship's and taking part in many of their fundraising events; including the 10-mile Sleep Walk, Colour Rush, and most recently 'The Drop', where people raised money by abseiling off a 150 foot crane.

This year 72 people bravely went 'Over the Edge' for Rowcroft by taking part in The Drop. Rowcroft are hopeful that those who entered have helped to raise over £10,000 for the hospice. This money will be used to support many patients and their families. This year the Wollen Michelmore ladies (team name - Vertically Challenged) helped to raise £990 for the charity. Their team consists of Katrina Vollentine Partner and head of Private Client, Emma Mitcham Associate Solicitor and Notary Public in Private Client team, Laura Marsden Trust Administrator in the Private Client team, and Rebecca Barnes Marketing Executive.

The overall day was fantastic, the sun was shining and there were many people who came to see their loved ones’ dangle from a 150ft crane. It was great to see people from organisations within the community, volunteering on the day to help make it a success. These organisations included; Miracle PR Photographers, the Rapid Relief Team (RRT) who provided the BBQ and Food, free of charge, helping to raising £137 on the day by selling their delicious burgers. The day would also not have been possible without CRS Adventures, and Spence Crane Hire who also volunteered with 'The Drop'.
