Torbay business cycling club

A SOUTH DEVON law firm gives a whole new meaning to the phrase ‘On Yer Bike!’.  Wollen Michelmore have joined forces with Fruition Design in Torquay to set up Torbay’s first business cycle networking club.

The Torbay Business Cycling Club rides take place on the second Friday of each month.

The cyclists meet 7:30AM at the Below Decks Restaurant on Beacon Quay for a briefing before setting off.  They aim to arrive back by around 9:15AM to catch up and enjoy a complimentary coffee and bacon bap before heading off to work!

Katrina Vollentine, Partner at Wollen Michelmore Solicitors, said: ‘We have been doing TBCC for a while now and are pleased to see new faces and people of all levels of cycling ability join us each month. Torquay doesn’t have any networking clubs like this. It is a great way to network and keep fit.”

TBCC is not just about cycling. It is also aimed at bringing business people together.

New routes are planned and published on the club’s Facebook group page each month.

Mark Green, Director at Fruition, said: “You get to know a person when you cycle with them.

And as we all know people do business with people.

Having shared interests makes for easy conversation.

Whilst helping and learning from riders of differing levels of fitness and experience is great way to build new connections and friendships.”

The next ride is on the September 14. Anyone interested is welcome to meet at Below Decks for 7:30AM. Please bring a cycling helmet. If you would like to join the next ride follow our Strava page. Alternatively more information can be obtained here.
