Long servers honoured – and Chris and Liz make ‘guest’ appearance

Father Christmas brought more than just presents when Devon law firm Wollen Michelmore celebrated their Yuletide staff party.

Long service awards were also handed out to 23 employees from across Wollen Michelmore’s office network in Torquay, Newton Abbot, Dartmouth, Barnstaple and Exeter.

Around 170 people enjoyed a traditional Christmas dinner at Torquay’s Imperial Hotel where chief executive Chris Hart and wife Liz made a ‘guest’ appearance as they recover from a transplant operation. Liz donated a kidney to Chris and he was quick to praise her for the life-saving gift.

Clive Meredith practice director presented the long serving staff with their gifts which included a bottle of bubbly. Clive said: “It’s a real pleasure to present these awards to our staff who have contributed so much to the firm through their many years of service. They have all seen so many changes in the firm and embraced them all. It’s a wonderful thing to be able to celebrate their long service with them. “
